Hey guys, here's a comprehensive list of OOC info about the end of summer event. We wanted to make sure we had everyone included for August and had ironed out all the kinks before this was posted. If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments section!

PLOT INFORMATION


On August 18, at around 12:00 PM, all summer campers are expected to vacate the premises of Camp Half-Blood, lest they want to be eaten by the cleaning harpies - who are, as usual, very, very hungry. Various forms of transportation will meet them at the gates. Maybe there will be a mortal parent or guardian who's come for them, or a taxi cab to take them to the airport. For those who ride the trains back to their home, a magical subway station will even appear.

But as soon as they exit camp and enter their rides home, it'll be clear to these campers that something's up. The windows on their vehicle will bolt closed with celestial bronze shades that can't open, and their seatbelt will clamp shut. Even their guardians seem fishy, being evasive whenever they answer a question.

Once they're finally let out, they'll be brought to a secret holding/testing facility, cuffed, and thrown into a darkened room. Soon, they'll find out that they're with someone who may be fmailiar to them - the campers will be placed in rooms in groups, to wait to be fed to Gaia. Here are the groups:

Activities at camp will follow as normal for the next few days - campers will not know that their friends have been taken.

Luckily, one of the summer campers in question happens to be able to send IMs without a drachma. On August 20, Gabriel will send a camp-wide IM to Camp Half-Blood, still cuffed. He won't be able to say anything, because his room is being guarded - though not well - but campers will clearly be able to see that he and Naomi are not in a safe place. From here, either a camper (please let us know if you'd like your character to do this) or Mr. D/Chiron will send an IM to Fleecy, asking her to trace the location of the last IM sent.

Once this is done, the campers will find out where their friends were stolen away to, and that they haven't all gone safely home. An emergency rescue quest will be called, and Chiron, Lupa and Mr. D will call all remaining campers to arms to help bring the summer kids back safely.

The rescuers will get to the Red Room's coordinates in a number of ways: if they have the ability to travel through the Duat - our magicians here, for example - they can use the Duat to transport themselves there. If a character has their own preferred method of transportation (eg: a pegasus, Festus, Dean's Impala), they may use that. All characters who do not use these methods will be transported via Apollo's sun chariot.

Chiron has split the campers up into many teams of two or three. As mods, we've done our best to preserve most of the original groups that were created in our first plotting post for this event. Here are our team-ups:

We've got a floor plan of the Red Room building, here is an overview for your reference so characters can explore and find their fellow campers:
- There are three above-ground floors and a locked basement.
- The first floor looks like a very stereotypical office building. Characters will enter into a lobby leading into a long hallway, but it all looks abandoned. A welcome desk is off to the left hand side, and a bathroom to the right of the lobby. In the hallway, there are three offices on the right, one large room on the left, and cubicles. At the end of the hallway is a stairwell.
- The second floor is another long hallway lined with red doors - at least this one looks like it's been used in the past ten years, because there isn't dust lining the floor and the lights are brighter. There are four doors on each side and a stairwell at the end of the hall.
- The third floor's main focus is a grand meeting room, which is at the end of another hallway. On the right hand side, there is another office as well as a small supply closet, and on the left hand side there is another bathroom.
This event will all happen in one log, which will go up on August 18, and the event will span in-game until the end of August. Story sections of the event will be clearly marked in the comments of the log.
