What: Spring is here, and shenanigans must be had!
When: Let's just say March. And pretend snow isn't still coming down on the East Coast.
Where: Camp grounds.

[ Ooh, what's going on over here. Nosy Annabeth is totally nosy. ]

What are you doing? [ Not accusatory, but a little abrupt. Still curious, because that's how she is. ]

[She can't possibly be as nosy as Sadie. Walt glances up at her, pausing so that he won't be rude.]

I'm making charms. It's a branch of magic that doesn't tax the magician's own energy. You put the magic in the charm you create, and then you can activate it at any time with no worry about losing energy. Some need a chance to recharge, though.

Now, I knew about Egyptian charms, but I hadn't known about the energy differences. I know magic can be pretty taxing on Hecate kids, here, depending on the size of the spell. I would think a similar principal applies to when they carve runes for protective measures, mostly.

[ A small smile tugs at her lips. ] What would you consider the nearest charm outlet?

I haven't yet spoken to the Hecate kids to learn more about your version of magic. It's entirely possible. There are some overlaps with our mythologies, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same goes with magic.

[He chuckles at that.] Oh, no, these things don't charge like cellphones, thankfully! Some just need a minute or two before using it again, just by virtue of how much magical energy it uses up all at once.

I was joking. [ Annabeth actually chuckles quietly, shaking her head. ] But that's good to know. Very convenient for a quick stitch.

I can point you in the direction of several motormouths in the Hecate cabin, if you need any assistance. [ A wry smile follows that comment and she casually folds her arms over her chest. ]
