What: Spring is here, and shenanigans must be had!
When: Let's just say March. And pretend snow isn't still coming down on the East Coast.

You hadn't been home for a long time, and then you came straight here? Were you in danger?

[She knows some of them were, before this place.]

[He nods.] Bucky 'n me, we went to Las Vegas, back in -- 1941. We got stuck in a fancy hotel, felt like we were only there for a few days, and then a satyr showed up to drag me here, told me it was 2014.

[There's a little shrug.] According to Phillips, I was, but -- I wanted to get Bucky. I didn't know he'd already gotten out.

[She immediately warms to the idea that he actually went back for another person because he wanted to make sure they got out.]

Most people wouldn't do that. He got out before you -- does that mean he's older than you, now?

I guess so, yeah. [He pauses a moment to consider this.] He's always been my younger big brother anyway, though, so it prob'ly doesn't matter much.

[catpiss]

[It occurs to her only belatedly that 'Bucky' is probably the same one who she's apparently related to.]

Bucky -- he's one of Apollo's, isn't he? Like me.

Yeah. He doesn't really do the -- arrows, though. I'm one of Athena's.

No offense, but I'm not surprised.

[He hadn't exactly barrelled her over like one of Ares' might have.]

And I guess we don't all do things we're supposed to. I'm not exactly a charming poet.

Most people aren't.

[He can barely barrel over a rock, at this point. Give him time. And a quest. And a blessing. Then he'll be set.]

Yeah, and I'm not exactly a Renaissance man.

Neither am I. I've mostly just got the arrows thing.

[Which goes along with the hunting thing. She feels your pain, Steve. At least you're a nice guy. Katniss -- she's kind of abrasive.]

Well, yeah, but you're real good with 'em, from what I've heard.

You get pretty good pretty fast when you have to hunt behind your house or starve.

[Blunt, but that's kind of how she is.]
