Hey everyone! Caitlin here, bringing you a game mechanics update.

So since summertime's almost upon us, we're going to go live with a quest soon that I'll be running. Here are our details:

We have a basic adventure plot that will be revealed once the quest goes into action. I'm thinking our start date will be around May 15. It will have a specific in-game end date, but the quest is incredibly backtag friendly, since I know we all operate on different schedules. If some players don't want to continue after a long time, it also has a handwaved-ending that can be implemented.

Though we created a basic plot, specific encounters in the quest (puzzles, monsters, etc) will be tailored to the strengths/weaknesses of each character going on the quest. Groups going on the quest will be separated in threes, as three is a sacred number.

All encounter posts will be made by me on this mod account. An encounter post has something to do with a monster attacking, a puzzle being introduced or solved and introducing the characters to the next task, or an NPC talking to the characters. Think of it as similar in function to a LARP encounter in that someone will be 'going along' with your character to help describe what your character can see or hear or how the world around them reacts to their actions.

Characters may bring any magical items they have on their posession - like Annabeth's Yankee Cap, the Stygian Ice Whistle, Daedalus' laptop or Chell's boots, as well as their weapons. They will also be equipped with backpacks containing a small bedroll, two vials each of nectar (one-half of the vial will cure most wounds, a whole vial will cure fatal wounds) and one piece of ambrosia (one half will cure most wounds, a whole piece will cure a fatal wound), mortal first-aid equipment like bandages, matches, a length of rope, and three golden drachmas.
