Allison. It's a name that rolls off the tongue, sweet and easy, and boy does it fit her.

He gives her a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his neck and letting his lacrosse stick fall to his side.]

Scott. Fourth Cohort, um, Nike cabin now, I guess.

[He was told Greeks don't always introduce themselves with their cabins, since working as a cohesive unit wasn't as big a deal here. But old habits die hard, especially ones that have been ingrained into you.]

[Allison seemed super happy about that, because really, she had grown up with Romans all of her life. Her family was a bunch of roman legacies.]

Nike's... Victoria, right? I'm not up to speed on my Greek gods yet.

Yeah, that's right! Victoria legacy, right here. She's my grandma.

[Can gods be grandparents? Was that even the correct term?

Maybe this girl was another new Roman that hadn't been introduced into their ways of life before the fall of New Rome. He'd heard of one other case, so it had to be coming for them.]

My dad's side of the family is a legacy of Mars. I... don't know what his relationship is to me? I think there's a couple or several grands in there.

[She laughs lightly. Those Roman to Greek conversions around here aren't quite catching yet for Allison, but she knew she'd get them eventually.]

Oh, hey! That's pretty cool. Mars guys...I've fought at their sides before. Really amazing, but don't get in their way.

[He supposes that he could learn a thing or two from his own advice, actually.

They're not making much sense, either - especially since he'd spent all of his training getting it through his head that the Roman gods were the real ones.]

So, um, have you been claimed yet? It's okay if you haven't.

Well, all of my family seems pretty good. Very dedicated and to the point.

[Allison looks down for a moment when he asks her if she's been claimed or not, and she shrugs her shoulders.]

About that? My situation's a bit more complicated than that.

Yeah, I think those are the passed-down traits, anyway.

[Were there more? He thinks the kids of Bellona and Mars are both equally warlike, but the Mars kids always had a taste for more bloodlust than anything.]

Really? How so?
