THE DINING PAVILION
Octavian (Heroes of Olympus) - Augur of Camp Jupiter, Legacy of Apollo (ROMAN)
It's bad enough that he had to lead a part of the Twelfth Legion away from their destroyed camp - even worse that he had to lead them here, of all places. But all the auguries pointed to it, every single strand of fiber-fil inside the stuffed animals he'd ripped apart told him no less. They'd even gotten specific instruction from Juno Moneta herself.
But the fact that he has to sit here, at the table for some bastardized version of his ancestor, while the Greeks mill about singing and writing poetry - that's what really gets him.]
I have no regrets.
When she was done, she happened to walk by Octavian, giving him a quick glance. When she speaks, it's with a grin and a bit of snark. She's clearly been hanging around Percy and Grover too much.] Don't look too excited.

He shoots a positively icy glare up at Annabeth.]
Why should I spare any of you any pleasantries? I'll only be faking.

First of all, you're lucky to even be here, to be alive. Second of all, we've accepted you into our home, opened our safe haven to you and your fellow campers, in hopes of trying to figure out how to defeat this new enemy.
Thirdly, it's rude to just ignore everyone, unless you want to end up on the bad end of someone. Some of the cabins like to play pranks on newer campers.

She could always look into the future and see, of course, but that's no fun. Besides, this guy doesn't look like he'd be worth the headache.
Wait, how long have I been staring for??
Amelia clears her throat, straightening abruptly. Wow way to be a creep, self] Uh. So you're Roman, right? [Genius, Pierce. Really.]

Still, if Praetor Jason was watching, he'd give him a stern talking to about respecting those who granted them sanctuary. Regardless of whether he liked Jason or not, he was a Praetor of New Rome, and Octavian needed to follow his Praetor's wishes - though he'd do it begrudgingly.]
Yes. As were my parents before me.

Bring it.
Stopping at a reasonable distance away, she tilted her head at him, arms crossed.]
Hey. Settling in okay?
[Might as well be polite.]
swag
[Octavian frowns into his cup of milk, muttering as she talks to him. Though she's talking to him from quite a ways away, there's no reason to shout back at her and waste his precious energy. If the girl wants to talk to him so badly, she can very well come over there and do it.]

Right... sorry to hear that. It can't be easy.

RISES LIKE A KRAKEN
You are aware that despite how much you glare they won't stop.
[He takes a seat across from him, expression tight.]
THIS DOESNT SOUND LIKE PATRIOTISM
[He doesn't even look at Enjolras, preferring to stare into his cup of milk instead.]

Scott McCall | Teen Wolf | Legacy of Victoria
See, at Camp Jupiter, the divisions between campers were based on ranking, not family. You sat with your cohort at meals, regardless of godly ancestry, and they became your family. Though he would admit, he'd spent many weekends in the city of New Rome eating dinner with his mom. It was their tradition, a way of sticking together, and Scott liked to do it as often as his senior centurion would allow him.
But here, he was sitting at the Nike table - who was apparently similar to his grandma, Victoria, but a little different because she was Greek, and some other stuff too. At least, that's what he'd guessed. He didn't know, he's never met Victoria.
It was a little weird to see former members of his cohort spread across the dining pavilion, but what was that saying? When in Greece, do as the Greeks do.
Well, it didn't exactly go that way, but he figured the same sort of thing applied. So he digs into his ribs a little too eagerly.]

So as he passes through the tables, he catches sight and scent of Scott and turns, only to snort softly at what meets him. He makes his way over, slow and easy and silent, and reaches to tousle at his dark hair while he's got a mouthful of food. ]
Are you even tasting any of that?
no subject
[Say what you will about the Greeks, those harpies know how to cook.
Scott rips off one of the ribs - though it definitely doesn't have enough barbecue sauce on it for his liking - offering it to his centurion with a small smile.]

Despite being a son of Hecate, Stiles slides past every authority figure he's seen with his fairly decent sneaking skills, and drops down right next to Scott at the table. ]
Pretty sweet, right?
HOLLA AT YO BOI
He doesn't know that it's taboo to sit at another god's table, though, so it doesn't really phase him. Stiles' familiar company is always more than welcome, anyway.]
Oh yeah, definitely. But how do you guys ask for more barbecue sauce?

Re: Scott McCall | Teen Wolf | Legacy of Victoria
Well, it didn't matter since Sojourner's just going to have to introduce herself. Plopping down in front of Scott she looks at the others who are definitely not supposed to be sitting here before him again.
If they took all the good stuff may the gods help them...]
Hey! I'm Sojourner, welcome to camp! You're from the Jupiter one right?

Yeah! Hey, uh, my name's Scott. Scott McCall.

The counselor sits, looking the new guy over. Romans. What a strange concept to her.] Hey. [Friendliest cabin counselor, right here. There's a pause before she continues.] How are you fitting in so far?
no subject
Hey! You're the centurion around here, right?
[He can't exactly remember if that's what they call them here, but it's the term he's familiar with.]
It's kind of jarring to find out we weren't the only ones out there, but cool. I don't remember having anybody related to Victoria back in my cohort, anyway. Thanks for taking me in.

John Egbert (Homestuck) - Son of Jupiter (new camper entirely)
[Man, that sure was a lot of people he just didn't know. Bluh. At least his table was empty. He wondered over to it and sat down. His plate is a delightful tray of everything but any kind of baked goods.]
Re: John Egbert (Homestuck) - Son of Jupiter (new camper entirely)
She's about to ask if he's suppose to be sitting there because for all she knows he could be a Roman or a Norse... And really there getting too many pantheons to keep track.
The impressive pile of everything but baked goods catches her attention.]
Dude, you're gonna barf if you eat all that.
[And she takes a risk, snatching up one of the cup cakes he's neglected.]
Re: John Egbert (Homestuck) - Son of Jupiter (new camper entirely)
[But, oh, hey, someone is talking to him. He looks up, blinking, and offers her a grin.]
If I do, it'll totally be out of happiness.
